What is a Hooked / Pinched Nose?

A hooked nose refers to a nose where the middle portion of the nasal bridge protrudes excessively,
giving it a bulging appearance like a dragon’s nose.
This can make the face appear strong, harsh, or give a severe impression.

A pinched nose refers to a nasal tip that is excessively narrow and pointed,
making the nose look weak or unnatural.
It often occurs due to insufficient tip support or from previous surgeries
where the cartilage and skin have been compressed.

Method 01
V-Y Advancement

This technique lifts the inner nasal skin from the inside and pushes the edges forward. The inner skin is incised in a V-shape, then lifted from behind using dissolvable sutures and closed in a Y-shape.

Method 02
Alar Cartilage Repositioning

The septal cartilage is repositioned downward to correct the alignment of the alar (nostril) cartilage.

Method 03
Cartilage Grafting

Rib cartilage (autologous or donor) is harvested and grafted to reinforce the necessary areas along the alar margin.
