Retmus Plastic Surgery
What is Canthoplasty?
Canthoplasty is a procedure designed to create naturally larger and
more open-looking eyes by taking into account the individual’s facial proportions and eye shape.
In many cases, double eyelid surgery alone is not enough to achieve a clear and refreshed eye appearance.
When the inner epicanthal fold causes a heavy or closed-in look, procedures such as medial canthoplasty can improve it. Additionally, lateral canthoplasty helps adjust the angle and length of the outer eye.
Together, these techniques can create a brighter, more defined, and sophisticated impression.

Retmus Dual Canthoplasty
Brighter, More Open Eyes with
Two Types of Canthoplasty,
Retmus Dual Canthoplasty
Retmus Dual Canthoplasty combines lateral canthoplasty and lowering lateral canthoplasty to simultaneously enhance the openness of the eyes.
While canthoplasty can be performed individually, combining multiple techniques according to the patient’s eye shape can create bigger, more refreshed-looking eyes.
In particular, performing lateral canthoplasty and lowering lateral canthoplasty together expands both the horizontal and vertical dimensions of the eyes, resulting in a naturally larger, more open, and refreshed appearance.
